Color Story Blue. February 2017

I joined the Color Story Collaboration project back in June 2015 with the color blue, and I fell in love. Like most projects I started, I only lasted a few months. Back in December though, Meghan Hassold, who started the project in the first place, decided it was time to jump back in. February was fun, but it felt difficult to remain motivated to shoot when the outside temps dipped below freezing. Here is the winter version of blue. Enjoy!

This month I’ve also hopped back into the Color Story Collaboration Project. We’re going to do red for January. I know I already did red back in July 2015, but I’m hoping to complete an entire year.It will be fun to compare my summer red to my winter red as well.

Happy Friday!

{{.Meddlesome’s Kits, Day 3 at The WorcShop.}}

My Love and my Mini Human went to work with me for a bit today to clean up after this crazy week at Studio 12.

I could not resist wrapping the kits in lace and doing a mini photo session with them after I did their weight check this morning. They are so adorable! My Mini Human has decided that she wants to keep Kit 3 (the mostly black one). I can’t say that I put up too much of a fight on that.

If you’d like to see the kits, please contact theworcshop@gmail.com to set up an appointment with their “fur mom / fur grandma” Void SansAnge.

{{.Newborn Bunnies at The WorcShop.}}

August 4, 2016 Mischievous & Meddlesome welcomed 4 kits into the world. What an adorable surprise to walk into when you get to work in the morning.

My mini human and I separated Mommy & kits from Daddy bunny, weighed the kits, then set Mommy & kits up in the True Life Photography of MA  studio at The WorcShop (studio 12). Naturally, we *had* to do a mini photo shoot to commemorate the occasion.

If you’d like to see the kits, please contact theworcshop@gmail.com to set up an appointment with their “fur mom / fur grandma” Void SansAnge.

{{.Get In The Shot!}}

After a crazy year of self doubt, and self discovery, of learning and growing, I’ve realized that I don’t get in the shot enough. I’ve made it my mission to just jump in. I want to make sure that my loved ones have something to hold on to, proof of my existence..

And with that, I handed my camera over to first our dad, then my Love, so they could snap a few pictures of my sisters and I, and even a couple with my mini human. I love these girls! One day, I’m going to get all FIVE of my sisters and all of our kiddos together for a photo shoot.. One day..

It’s been a while.

I know, I know. I keep saying I’m going to get this blog on track. Honestly, when I say it, I really mean it at the moment. Life happens though, and family things sometimes get in the way.

I’ve been away from my business since April, and things are finally starting to get back to “normal”. I’m really hoping to start blogging again, for real this time. 😉

Last week, my mini human decided that going outside to see a rainbow and a really cool sky was tolerable, so she twirled for me a few times in the field near us. I think I’m finally ready to get things back on track, just in time for summer sunsets!

Here’s to more sunset twirling in the months to come! -Jess

My Mini Human, twirling in the field near us. I’m going to miss it when she’s “too old” to twirl in the late spring sunset.

{{.Rainy Days are SO MUCH FUN.}}

Another perk of being a VIP client, is that if ever I need to create an advertisement, I offer my VIPs the first pick! I mentioned on Thursday that the weather was going to be perfect for a “Rainy Day” session, and that I wanted to start advertising on Facebook for it. I posted in the VIP facebook group that I wanted to do the shoot. One of my favorite little families said they’d LOVE to! * yay *

We met at 10:30a on Friday morning at the park. Mom and I chatted a little bit, and then we got right to playing! I’ve been photographing these mini humans for over two years now, and I’m so excited I get to watch them grow. When we meet up, I already know that E will be full of smiles and giggles, and S will want to run around. I knew that I wanted to show them the waterfall, but to do that I would have to take them through an area that snapping turtles use for laying eggs. I told the mini’s that there might be snapping turtles around, and S was a little nervous about being snapped, so I even pinky promised him I would never let that happen.

We had so much fun playing and exploring that before we knew it, we had been playing for almost an hour and a half! I just love when I get to have days like that!

{{VIP Client Information.}}

Did you know that True Life Photography of MA (TLP) have a VIP program? We love to watch your families grow up, and as a Thank You for letting us be part of your family we offer 10% off session fees, and a few other fun perks to clients who come back twice!

WHO: VIP clients are clients who have been with TLP for more than 2 photo sessions.

WHEN: You become a VIP after your second photo session. For your 3rd photo session, you get to take advantage of all the VIP extras, like 10% off your session fees.

WHAT: VIP clients are the first ones I notify for model calls. You get access to a VIP group on facebook where I announce model calls, giveaways, contests, and new break out of the box ideas. When I want to try out a new technique or test out some new props. When I try out new ideas for prints and products, I’ll often use VIP client session images as well.

COST: Nothing. Becoming a VIP is not something you can buy into, but after you have two sessions with me, you become a VIP. VIP clients also get a single folder for all of their sessions, so they only need to remember one password.
